In honor of National Nutrition Month, we are sharing some of our favorite immune boosting foods and healthy habits. Staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet is the best way to nourish your body. You should also aim to get enough sleep, decrease stress, and exercise. Yoga can relieve stress, double as exercise, and be practiced at home. Meditation and breathing exercises can calm your mind before bed in preparation for restful sleep. Many of us have been instructed to shelter-in-place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. That may feel unsettling and leave you feeling helpless. While we wait, let’s focus on giving our building up our immune systems and practice our healthy habits at home.
Always discuss new additions to your diet and exercise routine with your primary health care providers to make sure they are safe for you to include in your wellness plan. Be well and stay healthy, friends.
